In a bloody sectarian clashes that has already rocked the port city, at least six policemen were killed and 50 others were injured early Saturday when a police vehicle was attacked by militants in Pakistani port city of Karachi.Shootings and other violent crimes in Karachi have led to the death of at least 59 people in the past three days, media reports said.
Attack took place in the early hours when a bus carrying more than 50 policemen in plain clothes was attacked.Two assailants were also killed, while four injured policemen were in critical condition, said Xinhua. Interior Minister Rehman Malik said the police were on their way to carry out a search operation in the area when they came under attack.
